Choose Privacy Week: May 2-8
This week the library celebrates Privacy Week on May 2-8, 2010. Below is a 20 minute film that explores privacy issues. “In addition to ‘man on the street’ interviews, the film features individuals like Neil Gaiman, Cory Doctorow, Geoffrey Stone, and ALA President Camila Alire discussing privacy.” On the privacyrevolution.org website, you can find a “computers and privacy wordsearch” and sample lesson plans on privacy.
American Libraries Association’s Office of Intellectual Freedom, urges everyone to protect their right to privacy and “freedom to read, search and learn in the digital age“.
