Library Lunchables for June

June Library Lunchables! Located in the Library Archives Room

Would you like to learn how to use the resources that are available through the library website or other cool tools? Join us during lunch hour in the Library Archives Room one day each week. The schedule for June is:

Tues., June 10, 1:30pm: Technology Petting Zoo

If you love tech gadgets, come to the archives room and show off your favorite gadget! This session will cover how to discover the newest gadgets and keep yourself informed. Find out how to use Bluetooth technology to move files from your phone to your computer; how to watch TV shows with Slingbox; how to chat with your best friend in Europe using Skype and much more…

Tues., June 17, 1:30pm: Creating your own book catalog with LibraryThing

LibraryThing is an online service to help people catalog their books easily. You can access your catalog from anywhere—even on your mobile phone. Because everyone catalogs together, LibraryThing also connects people with the same books, and comes up with suggestions for what to read next.

Tues., June 24, 1:30pm: Don’t shy away from using Wikipedia Wikipedia is a multilingual, Web-based, free content encyclopedia project written collaboratively by volunteers worldwide. Find out how Wikipedia is structured, and why it is relevant in an academic environment.
